Land Office of Criminal Investigation - Düsseldorf

The original idea of this project was to signal open, communicative transparency to the outside despite the strict security requirements. From a glazed entrance hall, the primary axis of circulation passes through the building complex at an angle, providing access for 1,000 employees. The artist Peter Kogler won the art competition to design this primary axis. In addition to functional and economic aspects, the focus was on the environment with the use of geothermal energy and a 1,000 m2 photovoltaic system.
