Windstärke X / Shipwreck and fishery Museum - Cuxhaven

A transparent glass cube connects two former fishery halls and unites the historic structure into a new museum ensemble. Having gained a roof, the space that was visibly once part of the street, has regained its connective function and becomes the central experience and exhibition space of the museum. The concept requires only a minimal intervention with the existing structure, reduces costs and maintains the original feel of typical industrial architecture. The Museum Windstärke 10 was supported by EU funds (EFRE funds), among others.
